Spring Court of Honor 2025
All Scouts and family members are welcome to attend the Spring Court of Honor (COH). Please be sure to RSVP
so we know how many in your family will attend and how you and your Scout can help (ie: set up, grill food, or clean up).
What is the Spring COH? The event will recognize our new Scouts and the achievements of all Scouts since the September COH. SCOUTS: Please wear your full Class A (with your neckerchief and sash, if you have received merit badges previously)
Where is it? Heritage Park (16050 S. Pflumm Road, Olathe, KS)-- Shelter 6
What happens if there is rain? We will gather in the Church of Ascension's parish hall (lower level).
How do I know whether we will be at the park or at Church of Ascension? The Senior Patrol Leader will send a group text using Remind Me. The T218 leaders send email messages and/or texts in the Signal App. If you have at least one of these ways to receive communications, then you should get updates on Sunday morning.
Will there be any food? Yes! The main entrée will consist of hamburgers, brats and hot dogs and drinks (Lemonade and water) will be provided by the troop.
1st Year (New) Scouts (Bald Eagle patrol):no need to bring anything
2nd Year Scouts (Squirrel and Phoenix patrols):Bring a dessert
3rd Year Scouts (Vipers): Bring a side dish.
4th Year Scouts (Red Bulls) – Bring a dessert
5th Year Scouts (Hawks, Ravens, and King Cobras) – Bring a side dish
6th Year Scouts (Doges) – Bring a side dish
7th Year & higher Scouts (Tornado and Hydras)– Bring a dessert
(Scouts are highly encouraged to bring something they actually made!)
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm - Set-up and grilling
3:45 pm - 4:15 pm - Fellowship and eating
4:15 pm to 4:30 pm - Wood Badge beading ceremony
4:30 pm to 5:15 pm - Court of Honor
5:15pm to 5:45 pm- Clean-up
Anything else we should bring? Please bring a folding chair or stool, in case there is not enough room at the picnic tables. We also appreciate any lawn game (ie: corn hole, ladder ball, etc.) that you would be willing to share for the evening.
